Have to put trim on before install.

The rear window was never removed. Just the trim. I need to insert the trim back into the rubber seams, but can't. What about using some kind of lubricant so that the trim inserts easier?

So, remove the window and put the trim on and reinstall. Won't happen with the window on the car. A pain, unfortunately, maybe take it to a glass shop.

If you have access to PCA, Panorama Magazine issue #791 has a good ‘hands-on’ article regarding Replacing Window Seals that goes thru the steps for removal/install including trim. Yes, window has to be removed.

Why can’t I just insert it into the seam. I’ve been able to get some of it to insert. Just need an extra set of hands. No way in hell am I removing the window myself. I’d have a glass guy do it if it comes to that.

Because you can't, that's all. Same with the front and rear glass. Maybe do a Youtube video of how you're gonna do it so the rest of us 911 guys will know the trick? No fair cutting the rubber.

yup window out. I went to reinstall my rear glass with the new seal and trim... trim popped out had to take the window fully out again. giving myself a day before I go back to it... wasn't a good day wrenching on the 911. Good luck.

Well, technically you could install the trim with the window already in place, but you will mangle the trim in the process. Take the window back out. It ain't nearly as hard as a front or rear windshield.
