Squirters replacements
Hi,
I am replacing the oil squirters on a 2.7 engine with magnesium crankcase. Until now, I have only done this on aluminum engines and in addition to Loctite I have treated the edges of the hole to block for the squirters to come out. On the magnesium crankcase I find that impossible, the metal only breaks off. Before I removed the old ones, I could not see that it had been done from the factory either. Any experience, what did you do? |
1.Use oversized squirters and loctite 620 retaining compound.
2. Use threaded squirters 3. Install threaded plugs and redrill. |

I have already put them in with Loctite 638, I presume that will work? |
