Dash Message Right Front Side Light
2007 Porsche C4S w 51,000 miles
See attached photos regarding check right side light. Light is functional and bulb has been changed to a Porsche brand from the local dealer. No effect! Independent Porsche mechanic indicated that the issue was from a faulty ignition switch. The switch was replaced. Problem persists! The second issue shows error message that the Parking Light on. When the ignition is turned off the light remains on and the seat belt alarm noise is present and continues. This persists until the ignition is restarted. In addition, the check engine marker comes on. I'm stumped! Thank you. ![]() ![]() |

You might get more traction in the 996/997 forum than here but I would suspect your light switch to be the culprit if you have your lights set to auto/off and the parking lights are still forever lit.
Also the (!) mark isn't your CEL. It's just an indicator that you have a warning message. The CEL is the yellow light to the left of the (!) |

Perhaps you should post in another forum. This is 911 "air cooled" forum. We deal with different vehicles.
Hope you find your answer.
