3.2 Intake - Is this normal
Putting my donor '88 3.2 motor back together for my 87 restoration and in cleaning the intake pipe I found the block off inside the intake below... is this normal?

I'd not call that "normal." Whether blocking that oiled-air suction line matters to the engine's performance... don't know.

Was there a small hole in the centre of the blockage? Maybe it was modified to restrict the rate of flow. This would have the effect of preserving the vacuum, thereby allowing the fuel to be pressured correctly, even if there was an air leak into the engine oil system.

Taking it out. Apparently some folks run this to prevent oil getting into the combustion chamber. I’ll need it for emissions so it’s coming out.
