82 sc cigarette lighter
Ok need some help, I removed the cigarette lighter then figured out that the only way to get it out we to remove the air box. In the process I disconnected the center lead to the thing without being able to see it. I also lost the center pin. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/mad.gif
I have look at all the posts and wiring diagrams and it states that I should have a black lead for the power. I have two wires with no home a white/green wire that I believe is for the rear fog lamp left disconnected and taped. The other is a red/white wire that seams to be in the same wiring harness as the brown leads for the lighter. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/confused.gif http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1688671560.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1688671711.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1688671748.jpg |
If you remove the center vent you should be able to see the back of the lighter and the wires. There should be 2 wires usually one has a spade connector and is brown that connects to the housing of the lighter and the other has the pin that slides into the back of the lighter.

They used red/white for later year SC’s instead of black.
Be careful, it is an always hot wire with ignition on. |
