Help Identifying Wire?

I'm in the process of renovating my '79 SC and I'm cleaning up the floor panel and interior panels for new carpets. I haven't been able to identify the white wire shown in the photo. There is a black and white wire within the white plastic housing. The car originally had auto heat, but I have backdated the heat. I'm wondering what the wire went to?

Looks like it was added later. Maybe part of a rear decklid alarm sensor.

If it was added later it wouldn’t have factory glue on the wire sheathing.

Looks like Thermocouple wire? Where does the other end go?

Does your car have AutoHeat? That does look like the sensor wire that goes back to the left heater box.

It originally had auto heat, but it has been backdated to manual heat. I will see if it is connected to anything anymore. I replaced the flapper boxes 10 plus years ago. I don't remember the wire. Thank you everyone for your thoughts!
