June 14-15 DE at Gingerman raceway!
The Michiana PCA region is holding a DE at Gingerman raceway in South Haven MI and will be Limited to 100 cars. With a test and tune Friday night. Also a hog roast and carshow following the event Saturday night. I will be there with my fancy pants Miami vice wheels.
 I think I will start out on my street tires and if I get the okay from the instructor try out the Khumos. See ya there. This will be my first DE. I have a red '73 with a ducktail and 3.2 badge(engine too) stop by and say hi.

Have fun. I attended the event last year and it was great. The weather was sunny and 85 F. The track is a lot of fun with many tight turns, short and medium length straights and some elevation changes. It's tough on brakes as I boiled my brake fluid. The particpants could not have been any nicer. In typical midwestern fashion, a random participant asked me at lunch on Saturday how my day was going. I told him great but my fluid is shot. He told me to bring my car over to his trailer and he helped change the fluid! (He drives a red 993 turbo)
For $50, the track is open Friday afternoon for test and tune which is a great deal.

I was there last year but didn't drive. I had a silver Strosek coupe. I will add extra brake fluid to my list!

Getting everything rounded up for the weekend. I am going with the street tires, but bringing the Khumos just in case. Anything not so obvious I should bring along?

That was my car. I sold her to get my '73. I still miss it sometimes. Did you look at the pictures of the rebuild I had resting on the windsheild wiper?

Can't sleep!
Here is a list of stuff I plan to take along.
floor jack, jackstands, tool kit(fuses fan belt etc.), torque wrench, sunscreen, helmet, tech sheet, lots of h2o, Pelican BBS DE shirt, hat, oil, brake fluid, race tires(just in case), video camera, digital camera, 35MM camera, shoe polish. Am I missing anything? I haven't slept in three days!
