Targa soft window

Just removed rear targa window today and wondered if there is a kit for changing over to a soft window. Also, I want to thank
Kevin for all his help.

No kit. You will have to scrounge for used parts. be aware that these are very hard to come by and usually quite expensive. The actual tops, boots and seals are not hard to find as reproductions are available. The hoops and more importantly handles are like gold.

I am still missing a set of hoops and some hardware for my conversion.

good luck on your hunt.

Are the Hoops and Handles that hard to reproduce?

If anyone has a pic of the items I'd appreciate seeing them....my curiousity is getting the best of me.

I imagine the hoops are easy to reproduce. The handles do not look so easy. I will dig mine out and take some pictures this weekend. there are also some inserts that the handles lock to. I made my own set by copying an original.

One more thing, Joseph what year is your targa? Most early targas have the required mounting points under the targa bar padding. later cars would require lots of fabrication.

Joseph--

As Jamie indicates, the conversion is a very tough project. I researched it and decided it would be more cost effective to buy an original soft Targa.
