86 911 Dashboard question

Trying to figure out which dashboard I need to find for my 86 911 coupe. There seem to be a few to choose from in the PET. Some are leather and some leatherette but not sure about the other differences. Will they all fit?
Will 86 thru 89, including 930's fit?

They include:

91155205572 leather
91155205504 leatherette
91155205505 leatherette
91155205573 leather

I bought a 911 with a melted interior and I threw out the original dash unfortunately.

Nice job fixing that. Did you replace the metal underdash? If so did you use the newer style? Then you need a dash with a long defrost vent. Yes an 86 will work even from a 930 The leather and leatherette are the same just different material. That would be indicated on the option sticker if you have one.

Mike, do you know if the long defrost vent, which I still have was just painted or did it have leather/leatherette? Mine is damaged from the fire but after i sandblast it I will paint it. Was it covered also? I did not replace the metal underdash. It was pretty clean once the ugly stuff came off. All the gauges were shot but the wires plugged into them were looking brand new. Do you know if an 89 930 with the long vent will fit the 86? I have a line on one.

thanks!

The vent is actually a metal piece and it screws in over the dash and yes it is painted or powder coated not covered

I have the metal long dash piece. Mine must have been the newer style. The metal vent is just painted, correct?

thanks!

I believe any of the ones you listed will fit. No difference between the 911 and 930 dash except afaik all 930s have only leather dashes.
That’s quite the dash fire. It’s unfortunate that the factory didn’t install enough relays and fuses.
My 930 used to plume smoke randomly from under the dash. I ripped out all the aftermarket stereo and alarm wiring and haven’t had an issue since but I still need to fuse my switches.
Good luck with the project. Keep us posted on the progress.

Mike, should a 1989 930 dash fit the 86 if both have the long vent? I think pkabush just answered it. Disregard

some fire damage

pkabush, the previous owner had an e-cigarette that he left in the ashtay (I was told) and the battery somehow started a fire. The car interior was shot. I think part of the ceiling in his garage landed on the car. There was sheetrock all wet in the car. Wet from firemen I assume... I took it down to bare metal and sprayed some primer on it.

Its been a long journey. Waiting for the car to be finished at the place I bought it from. Should be painted soon. They put slant nose rear quarters/fenders and sunroof delete on it. Then I will start to put it back together... Here are some photos...
