Where does this vacuum line go?

On the left side of the engine I saw this purplish/blue line just laying there. It wraps up behind the air box parallel with the red hose.

Any idea what this is supposed to plug into? And yes I know the WUR is incorrect for a ‘81 - working on that!

Maybe the distributor vacuum retard? Does your distributor have two ports, and one is open? Is the loose line plugged?

The line is not plugged at the end.

Retard Vacuum Hose Connections………..
