Old school, SC bites it
Just watched "Old School" on video last night. Funny movie and brought back some memories of the past. Last scene in the movie one of the idiot boy friends (didn't deserve a P-car) drops his cigerrette while driving over a bridge and loses it, going off the bridge and landing upside down and wasting an 911 SC. All I thought of was "that poor car" getting sentimental in my progessing age.
Two Thumbs up!

Funny, I watched it last night too and I said the same thing. They should have put the guy in a Corvette or something. More fitting for the character in the movie.

I was thinking an IROC Camero would have been perfect. Great flick though.

I saw it two days ago, i was about to turn it off but then i saw a red sc like mine (being driven by the idiot of the movie). So i figured i'd leave it on for a little longer to see the car (i don't like mushing endings so if i see one coming i'll turn it off early), only to see him get the car side ways over a bridge. Within a millisecond i turned it off and rocked myself back and forth trying to think happy thoughts.

Then there's the barrel of fish guts dumped into the interior of a (?) Carrera in the movie "Mystic Pizza."
Bet they sold that car on the low scale...or to a fisherman! John

Anyone see Super Troopers? There's a 911 in one scene (maybe it's even a Turbo?) - it even has a roll bar in it.

Don't forget Office Space, where Lumberg's SC gets its bumper ripped off for parking in a handicapped spot.
Yeah, ahhh, I'm gonna need you to not do that. Yeah, that would be great, mmmmkay?

Don't forget "The Principal" where Jim Belushi beats a really nice red Euro Carrera or Turbo (I can't remember which) with a baseball bat.
Some dude was at a bar with his ex and 'ol Jim wasn't too fond of him.

I was thinking about Risky Business the other day would they have fixed a flooded car like that in the "real world" doesn't a flood get an automatic branded title, thinking Tom's dad would have been a bit miffed when he went to sell that 928....

BTW, that car was on ebay a year or so ago. The bidding went up to ~$15k, but the reserve was set in the toposphere.

What about the "Bachelor Party" with Tom Hanks. They steal their arch nemesis's 911 and make it a complete Pimpmobile sled. The rear jacked way up in the air with chrome Kregors and fuzzy dice. I think they even had flames on the front! The only saving grace was it was a Targa! Ok, I was just pickin' fun, since I'm a coupe guy, but I never realized how ugly even a Porsche can be made.

In The Replacements (cheesy football movie with Keanu Reeves) a silver 993 has its glass shot out.
There's a green 912 in Spy Game (Robert Redford and Brad Pitt).

Speaking of Jim Belushi, he drives a Beck Spyder in Mister Destiny. You can tell it's fake because when he crashes it, the fiberglass splinters rather than bending (as metal would).
Of course, I don't know of anybody stupid enough to destroy a real 550, even in a movie.
