Engine Shroud Compatibility
Hi 911 brethren! I'm looking at cleaning up my engine bay on my 1979 911 SC. I'd rather not shell out $$$ for a brand new shroud, but my current one would be difficult to shine up given the cracks, etc. I saw a shroud from a 1986 911 on eBay that was in good shape, but the seller did not know if it would fit on my 79 SC.
I know that the 79 year has a smaller fan blade, but was hoping that the shroud was not impacted by this and that even the 3.2 Carreras would share the same shroud. Might anyone here know? ![]()

The fan blades on the 78-79 SCs were smaller, but the outside dimension of the fan housing stayed the same all the way through the Carrera model years.

I have a green one from my 2.7 that aside from needing a good cleaning is in great condition- yours for $100 plus shipping, I just want it gone…
