Engine Shroud Compatibility
Hi 911 brethren! I'm looking at cleaning up my engine bay on my 1979 911 SC. I'd rather not shell out $$$ for a brand new shroud, but my current one would be difficult to shine up given the cracks, etc. I saw a shroud from a 1986 911 on eBay that was in good shape, but the seller did not know if it would fit on my 79 SC.
I know that the 79 year has a smaller fan blade, but was hoping that the shroud was not impacted by this and that even the 3.2 Carreras would share the same shroud. Might anyone here know?

The fan blades on the 78-79 SCs were smaller, but the outside dimension of the fan housing stayed the same all the way through the Carrera model years.

I have a green one from my 2.7 that aside from needing a good cleaning is in great condition- yours for $100 plus shipping, I just want it gone…
