				Cold start problems

Where should I start looking to find cold start issues? The car starts fine, but idles very low, and when given gas, will bog down. Once warmed up after about 2 minutes of driving it is fine.

Thanks, I figured it would be a simple answer. Now, how do I find these and are they repairable, or do they have to be replaced?

Before you go throwing parts at it, you need to establish a base line, by making sure your CO and timing are set properly, and a fuel pressure test. If you plan to work on your car yourself, invest in a proper CIS fuel test rig, and a CIS troubleshooting guide.

Good posts! Don't start "throwing darts" to find the problem. As mentioned, you need a fuel pressure gauge to measure the cold and hot fuel dist. control pressure from the WUR. Also, you need to determine if you have 12V going to the WUR and aux. air valve. The 12v comes basically from the same circuit as the fuel pump voltage and affects how the engine runs as it warms up. Check out this website (Systemsc.com). It may provide some helpful info. Loren '88 3.2 | ||
