What he said.

The color is Scarab Blue.

Easy decision IMO.

I didn't choose a color :) (bottom photo is just the Marchal light resting there to decide if I like the placement)

Anything bright- life is too short for drab cars!,

I was going to say white. But I've changed my mind. I think I like this one the most. It's sort of got a "period correctness" about it. It's a gentleman's car look. Not a racing car.

Another one to consider is viper green.

Not an available color for the year, but I've never seen a bad looking GT Silver on any car. It's such a dynamic color. It would really flow on the lines of a vintage car and match up with the aluminum interior trim, not to mention against a black interior.

Tangerine, like the 1967 Marathon de la Route winner.

thank you guys, the car has been painted back to its original slate grey color, planning on some colorful small 2.0-liter cup-style decals.
and i have to say, the slate grey works really really well actually.
still cant believe i own this car.

Fantastic.....

Beautiful car! The Slate Grey is perfect, especially with the steelies.

I love "R" themed cars, something a bit different in the sea of RS's and ST's. Here is my interpretation of what it would have been if Porsche had continued to make them, my 1972 "R" in Albert Blue:
