RIP Nick Psyllos
Beyond tragic news about a dear friend, consummate member of the Porsche community, Pelican and all around great guy.
From https://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?170971-More-terible-news-RIP-Nick-Psyllos#post1166885 ... Our friend Nick Psyllos (NickP) passed away today from quick onset pancreatic cancer.... Nick was a good friend and another wonderful guy in our community to pass WAY too soon ... I have no words... Again I'm in shock... Nick owned the Silver '73 911S that was in the latest Top Gun and still on display in the Peterson Auto Museum... https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...-911S-Re-paint He also owned one of the most iconic S/T builds we've ever seen... The 2019 ESR calendar cover https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...ck-P-and-Randy However, what Nick was MOST proud of was his family... Those of us who had the pleasure of knowing him knew he was the consummate family man ... Our hearts goes out to Nick's wonderful family on this unbelievably sad day....

I’m still in shock and extremely saddened with this news. He was such a humble guy, always helpful and insanely passionate about the hobby we all love.
Here’s a picture of Nick with his 911S shortly after he got it back from the production company, he was showing it to my daughter who was just getting her feet wet with Porsches. He will be dearly missed ![]()

No!
This is distressing news. I had only a few interactions with Nick, but he always treated me like we were old friends. I greatly looked forward to running into him. Nick was a genuinely nice guy and appeared to sincerely appreciate the moment he was in. My condolences to his family and friends. Last edited by 917_Langheck; 12-01-2023 at 05:27 AM.. |

So very sorry to learn of Nick's passing. Just an absolutely wonderful guy on or off cars. I know him best for his amazing Porsche builds and his willingness to help out anyone. I saw Nick at Rennsport and he looked great. This is a huge loss for his friends, family and the Porsche community. RIP Nick.

I had just learned of this earlier this morning, and was floored with sadness and disbelief. I caught up with him at Rennsport 2 months ago after not seeing him in a few years since I left San Diego. We laughed about the time we swapped cars (his silver 911S and my old ‘84 Ruby) to drive up to the old C&C behind Taco Bell HQ. We each were giddy about how fun it was to swap a couple of pretty fun cars.
Life lesson on how fast things change. Tell your loved ones how much you love them today. |

Services for Nick will happen in the next few weeks. I'll post the details when they become available.

I am helping Nick's family divest some assets. This includes Nick's Trailex enclosed aluminum trailer that I have listed, on the family's behalf, on Bring A Trailer.
I will make a separate For Sale post here, but in the interim, I'll share the info here in hopes that the community will help get the word out. It takes a village, I (and the family) appreciate this community's help... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2000-trailex-cte-1741/ Nick and I towed my '87 911 2,500+ miles in this trailer to the Texas Hill Country Rallye 2023. It was a bucket list event for both of us (especially after misfiring in 2022). I am so glad we were able to check it off of his list prior to his passing. We'd intended to co-drive his Tangerine ST at HCR 2024, but, as you know, that wasn't in the cards. Neither of us was very well versed in towing, so some hilarity ensued, including running out of gas on the return leg. I regret not getting pictures of us on the side of Hwy 10. Here's some memories from HCR '23... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
