Are there different gear ratio options for a G50? I'm curious about this pic posted above.
I have a mental marker for my stock '87 that: 3000 rpm == 65 mph. Based on the pic, this seems more like: 3000 rpm == 80 mph. I need to double check BTW: Brain fart... I just remembered '86 has a 915 transmission. Still didn't realize there was such a big difference. ![]() Last edited by WMichelsen; 12-25-2023 at 08:15 AM.. Reason: Add a note. |

Yes, that’s about right. ‘86 915, 2,800 rpm= 90kph= 56 mph.

A bit of progress, fabricated the housing for the front oil cooler, deleted the torsion bar covers on the rear quarters as we will be using coil overs out back, got the 964 oil tank mounted, checking for oil line clearance and prelim plumbing oil system.
