Does anyone know where . . .

Back in the '80s I had a 5# cover for my 911targa that just fit over the top and had weighted sides which hung over the top of the windows. Does anyone know where to purchase these or if they are still available or have one to sell?

I believe you're talking about the Carbrella, which Performance sells.

Another alternative (and one I highly recommend) is an interior cover - completely covers the cockpit from front window to rear window, which keeps UVs off the dash, seats, etc. The picture is of a cab, but the idea is the same for a Targa

Got mine from www.bigskycarcovers.com - the interior cover that Performance sells does NOT fit the targa - it was cut from a cab template and didn't completely cover the windows

I bought the Carbrella from Performance Products (PP doesn't carry them) and I have been very happy with it. Keeps the light rain and dust, dirt and leaves out of the interior. Kind of pricy at $150, but nice for the typical Michigan summer day when you never know for sure that it's not going to rain!

I had an interior cover like the one pictured above. Loved it!
Fairly easy on and off, and no more hot seats when you come back and discourages passerby's from touching interior.
Plan to get another when the Targa is completed. I sprayed
the one I had with Scotch Guard, and it shed water and dirt
like magic. I highly recomend it.
