I'm looking to buy a set of used 21mm spacers to widen the rear track of my car - I have standard 16x7" Fuchs with 225 tires, and my Q is: will 21mm be ok or will the wheel rub against the fender lip?
Any one who has put spacers on their 84-89 Carreras? ![]()

I assume these are the H&R spacers? I just put a set on my 84 with 16x7 rears and 225 tires. They fit great. My car has been lowered slightly below the euro height and the tires do not rub at all- not even on the track on Monday!
Cheers, Jeff

I've heard before that spacers can increase the rate of wear on your wheel bearing due to the extra leveraged force imposed. Could be wrong though, you think those would work on an SC?

On an SC/Carrera, 28mm spacers in the rear will fit nicely (no rubbing) with stock 7's. If you go with a bit more agressive camber (-1.8-ish), then you could easily go with the 32mm spacers.
