Tom,

Actually my 8 year old son spotted the calipers and came running to me to tell me about them. Anyone have a Viper or no someone on the Viper board? I wonder if this is a socially acceptable upgrade?

John, you are right..some great chpholders out there. I forgot to count how many the Cayenne had. Did you see the ash tray in the '54 XK120 Jag? It was straight out off the guy's coffee table!

Well, i'd assume from what i've been told about vipers that any use of other brake systems is better than the stock setup.

Actually those are indeed the same as stock Viper brakes and the Viper had them BEFORE Porsche did. The "big reds" came out in 96 on the TT, but as early as 92 on the Viper. It looks like someone got a deal on the Porsche scripted ones.

The Big Reds also appeared in '92 on Carrera RS (euro), Cup and 965(3.6T). The 928GTS also used them but I am not familiar w/ when.

BigRed conversions are popular on other marques as well. I've seen a lot of M3's and NSX's with them.
