You made a small mistake calling the 1972 a 1973 in the beginning of the video. Reminds me of my 1973, lots of similar issues as I slowly dug in past the paint and hidden bondo from cheap previous work. I like the product placement for Pelican Parts inset at 27:30.
Interesting when you mention at 28 minutes about what the factory did with the weld. I remember when I stripped that section and wondered who had previously done a weld there. I still wonder if it is factory or previously patched. I bought cuts of the Door Hinge Post Bottom from an SC and some inner fender sections. I was lucky years back getting a lot of parts cheap from people parting out cars before the value went up on them. Most of the other new parts like the inner and outer rockers and battery boxes I found cheap on Pelicans Used Parts Classified forum from others that had for whatever reason bought but never installed them. Good luck, lots of grinding, cutting, and welding ahead.
