Early Struts 3" spacing. Spindles worn out. New source?

Most of these early struts wear out where the outer bearing rides. There is a groove that you can feel on the bottom of the spindle. When you go to adjust your wheel bearings you can tighten the outer nut all you want, but it still feels like your bearings are loose when you shake the wheel. Yes, I know a lot of people update to the later struts with 3.5" brake spacing that are available new. I am not interested in that. I've done some looking but have not had any luck finding new ones. Do you guys have any ideas?
