Well I've been looking at early cars for a year now and I can tell you by your description that I'd give $4000 for it. So, that's my guess, 4.

Got to love the color. $7500 and MFI is probably all messed up.
As recovering 72T sepia brown owner, bead blast that godawful color to smithereens and respray to whatever spins you up. Build a hot 2.7 MFI motor with a sport muffler and get big brakes, bigger tbars & swaybars, set of Bilstein Sports at all corners and some ugly cookie cutter wheels for your Kuhmos and then you have a low budget, weekend track car that will be more fun than you can imagine. Go for it. For less than you pay for a new Accord. I am ten years into my 911T adventure and it is still fun. Get the car!

I agree with Zotman72.
As for value, the rest of you guys are clueless throwing out numbers below $4k. The body alone stripped down is probably worth $2,500 (front fenders are at least $400 each) assuming no major rust.
A 2.4T engine, even messed up is worth at least $1,200 (the block 7R block itself is worth $500 - look on EBay. The 2.4T The MFI even screwed up is still worth $400 - I've sold my 2.4T MFI set-up on EBay last year for $450), the early 915 tranny (which is better than the later 2.7 and up 915's is worth at least $600, and that's if it's in need of a rebuild. The seats are worth a few hundred or more depending on condition, gas tank, instruments, brakes, front supension, windows, window frames, headlights, chrome deco, door pockets etc all are worth money.
I wouldn't pay a nickel for a cheesy 80's SC or 944.

I am going to guess $6000. Funny how personal taste is, but my buddy John would probably pay a premium for an original paint Sepia car. That is his favorite color on an early car.

Hi Corn,
I am no big fan of Sepia either, but it is amazing how many were sold in the late 60's/early 70's. It was almost cool back then. One of my least favorite early 9elf colors was Bahama Yellow, kind of a baby puke yellow. However, there was one on EBay a few days with a very glossy finish. It almost looked nice...
Those cheesy 80's metallic colors, like champagne, light bronze metallic, pewter, quartz were even worse, not to mention the hundreds of early 80's SC with worn out, faded, pealed offv clear coat guards red paint you find bouncing around NY/NJ/Conn.

Corn,
I have been meaning to ask you if that VW 12 second time is 0-60, or the 1/4 mile? I'm assuming 0-60...

Sepia is a wonderful color and shows far more inividuality than guards red or black on black If you can get a nice 73 at a nice price go for it

At first I wasn't a "beliver" but I've been converted. I bought my car thinking that I would do a paintjob, but frankly the more I worked on the FT the more I came to like Sepia. After going to Hershey and not seeing a single Sepia brown car I'm definitly hooked.
Sepia Rocks!

Nice looking car. A well taken care of early 911 is great looking, regardless of color.

LOL!!! blau911 my car is far from well taken care of.. I've been working for the last 6 months trying to get it there though. The car was completely trashed when I got it and didn't run at all. It's getting there slowly though.

ALL depends on how much "TLC" it needs. I'd venture $5K if it runs and is in good condition engine wise and needing some minor TLC
