Werks Reunion 2024 in my 912E... with a twist!
 

I had a lot of fun prepping and "documenting" the trip in 2022 so I figured I'd start a new one for 2024.

So what's the twist you say? I now live in Yulee, just minutes from Amelia Island. Should be an easy drive over the bridge to Werks Reunion...well.... the twist is my car is in a warehouse outside Summit Point raceway in WV. I haven't seen it in 6 months, haven't driven it over 9 months! I'm really missing driving this car a lot so the plan is to fly up Fri. Feb 23rd, drive it back down 724 miles the following day then do a little prep before Werks '24. I'll probably hit a Harbor Freight on the way for some basic hand tools, I have a points set on its way but otherwise I'm going to hop in and drive it. Stay tuned!

I hope you didn't leave ethanol contaminated gas in it.

I'm an hour east of Summit point in Maryland, swing on by if you're coming by this way.

I don't recall what I put in it, I usually got non ethanol from a station not far from the marina near my old house. We will see!

Awesome road trip adventure Ryan! Feel free to take a quick pit stop in eastern NC if you have the time. I’m only 2 miles off I95 Exit 150 near Rocky Mount. I’m in the country so no traffic other than maybe a tractor. We can compare our ‘76 models. I’ll probably be in the shop.

Huge gross mouse nest in the frunk but after we got it off the dollys and the battery hooked up it started up quick and ran great. Lots of miles tomorrow.
