wheel fitment question for 930
I'm looking at the Maxilite wheels for the rear of my '87 930 - specs are 10 x 17 ET-27. Can anyone confirm whether this will fit on a stock 930 rears, with stock spacers?

I'm not smart enough to answer your question definitively. They'll fit, but you might need a larger/additional spacer and longer lugs.
Stock wheel is 9x16, ET 15. Stock spacer is 28 mm, IIRC. I have a set of 17x11, ET 17 on the rear of my car right now, still using the stock spacer & lugs. Rear - 17x11.0” 6.18 backspacing, ET 17mm The open steel nuts I have on have a couple threads of engagement showing. So the 10" wheel width will fit. The ET 27 mm isn't off by much (10-12 mm). But if you wanted the wheel pushed out wide to fit the wheel well better aesthetically, you might need a spacer (thicker than the stock 28 mm one). That might require longer lugs, given the fact that I only have a couple threads (but certainly not 10 cm worth) of engagement visible on my car.

Noah930, thanks man, I appreciate it. I'm hoping someone would know definitively before I pull the trigger but what you say makes sense.

for a 10 ET-27 f/s is 163mm, b/s is 109mm i.e. it sticks out 27mm more than stock add the 28mm spacer and it sticks out 55mm more than stock a 10Et 28 w/ the 28mm spacer will have the same f/s as stock

Thanks Bill, if I'm reading that correctly, the 10ET-27 with the stock 28mm spacer, would fit, but it would stick out 55mm more than my current stock 9ET15's. Is that correct? I don't have 55mm clearance currently, which would mean I'd probably need to lose the spacer altogether if that's correct.

10ET-27 w/ 28mm spacer is the same as a 10 ET-55 it sticks out 55mm more than the stock 9 and won't fit 10 ET-27 w/o spacer sticks out 26.7mm more than the stock 9, this may or may not work depending on tires, suspension etc. You will need to evaluate how much prouder the wheels can be, keep in mind that the tire also have a big say in fit , taller and wider being harder to fit.
