![]() ![]() Does anyone have a list of the 911 most common bolt and thread pitch sizes and where they are used? The Porsche parts catalog does not always give the thread pitch when searching for the correct hardware. Len ![]() Last edited by BoxsterGT; 08-20-2024 at 05:10 PM.. |

I replaced every nut and bolt on my car and this was my friend.
https://www.amazon.com/Giwaelro-Nut-Bolt-Thread-Checker/dp/B0CQMWT64H?ref_=ast_slp_dp&th=1 Belmetric.com is also a good source for replacement hardware |

Most M8 nuts and bolts are M8 1.25 pitch and take a 13mm socket
Most M6 buts and bolts are M6 1.00 pitch and take a 10mm socket Larger nuts and bolts are M10 and M12 with 1.5mm pitch and take 17mm or 19mm socket There are other less often used sizes but you just have to check them when you find them.

Keep your old hardware and have it plated. New hardware pales in comparison to old.

![]() ![]() Thanks all. I could not remember for certain about the M10 & M12 and the 1.5 thread pitch. Have to order some replacement 10mm studs to hang a 3.6 motor in an early 911. Len ![]() |
