another squeaking wheel

It seems that most of the recent problems that I have had
are noise-related and not too serious (beside my worn valve guide),
but extremely annoying. The latest in date: a high pitch squeaking coming from my left rear
wheel. It is intermittent with the same frequency as the wheel's
rotation, and that does not go away when I brake. As far as I can tell,
the noise only appears on hot days after having driven for at least
20-25 minutes around town.
Does this sound familiar to anyone???

Thanks

Ludovic

Sounds somewhat similar to my situation a few weeks ago, except it was my right front. I repacked the bearings, replaced the seal and it's all good now. Others will probably chime in with other possibilities, but I'd put wheel bearing at the top of the list.

Left rear? I recently heard that. Just replaced the rear wheel bearing. Big job (kinda) but all is quiet now.

Ouch! What about greasing the bearing to see if I goes away and does not come right back? Can I service the bearing without removing the whole wheel assembly?
