Beating the cruise horse to death
Ok, I found the brake trigger shorted to ground when open and fixed that. Sent amp out, rebuilt, still no cruise.
The clutch circuit (terminal 3 of the plug) shows an open circuit with the clutch engaged, which is what the diagnostic info posted here calls for. The switch functions when removed from the car. It is adjusted so that it actuates. When clutch is depressed fully, nothing changes-diagnostic says it should go to 10 ohms. This points to a defective solenoid on the servo. However, all of this shouldn't matter, should it, as terminal 3 only serves to disengage cruise on clutch depression. The servo motor itself shows 18 ohms, and revs increase when 9v is applied to pins 3 and 7. Does anyone have any useful knowledge here? I speculate way too much, but I'm wondering if either the diagnostic is backwards (ie it should show 10 ohms with clutch engaged, rather than disengaged) or that the cruise "looks" for one cycle of the switch as a self-diagnostic. Help-cruise isn't crucial, but I hate stuff that doesn't work and stumps me.

Why not call your rebuilder? You paid him to rebuild the unit and he
should provide tech support to get it to work, if it's possibly bad or wasn't bad to begin with. He should have tested it for you before rebuilding it. Good Luck Loren Systemsc.com
