Biggest, Widest tires

I need the biggest (no low profile) Fattest (not Phattest, but widest) tires for my lowly (but newly repolished) 15" 7/8" Fuch rims. I have no spacers, just looking for the most meat available.

Yes, I have done a search, seems to be more speculation than fact as to availability and what actually fits.

I'm not sure of tire sizes for your 15's but was wondering how the wheels turned out, Pic please.

Well, I can tell you that a 275 60 15 will fit on 8's and so will a 295 50 15, but I think you'd have a helluva time fitting them under the back of your car.

245 60 15's will fit on 7's, same applies for the car.

There are not a lot of tires available beyond the usual 225/50 and 245/50 x15 tires(I see that Steve found the drag radials )

A word of caution, try to keep the height of the rear tires down

The following illustrate the amount of push your tush will feel. The first is for an 11.9" static loaded radius tire, the second is for a 12.3" static loaded radius tire. Both were mounted on 8x15 rims on a 2.7 RS, engine torque was measured on a dyno.

Hmm, that is interesting. I did not realize the height of the tire made that much of a difference (on race cars yes, mine, no). I just do not want the car to look small with these small wheels.

Steve, 275 and 295 are damn near impossible to find. As much as I want wide, I need to be realisitic as well. Really looking for examples of what someone has already done.

Bob, they came out great. I will post pics tonight.

Well, I mostly posted that as a joke, but BF Goodrich still makes the tires that I mentioned

BF Goodrich Radial TA
S speed rated to 112 mph (mostly a hotrod tire really)

Again, don't know what would actually fit either.

I had 215/60/15 on 7's in front and 245/50/15 on 8's in back of my car before I went to 17 inch wheels. With spacers and relocating the oil lines I'd bet a 275 would fit back there.
