Front Shock Issue
 
My front passenger shock is maxed out towards the fender which is around 2 degrees negative camber. I would like to get it closer to 1 degree. But can not push anymore towards fender to get to 1 degree. Any suggestions? Also my driver side is perfect. Also are the mono balls a rough ride compared to the factory bushing setup. Because at this point not sure how to get to zero or even 1 degree of negative camber. Don’t believe car was ever wrecked.

Do you really want positive camber?
Usually the target is close to zero camber or maybe a bit negative (angled in at the top of the strut)

Still a bit confusing but if the car is lowered too much it might be too negative to compensate by moving the strut top.
Is there a possibility that a previous owner installed de-cambered ball joints too allow more negative camber?

Yes the mono ball top mounts will add some harshness, but that may be your only solution.

What size wheels/tires are you using, and what is the distance from the ground to the fender lip?

Too much negative is not a problem for the stock setup. Sounds like either a PO installed de-cambered ball joints like Brian says (but that wouldn't explain the driver's side being okay), the car has been damaged, or the strut has been bent.

A bent strut is not uncommon. I was able to straighten mine with a hydraulic press.

Yep. There's a reason a lot of struts have gussets. On mine the spindles were loose on the struts and the struts were bent--I could never get my front camber right.

Might want to check if the car is level side-to-side. That directly affects camber. —Dave

I will have to check the ball joints. I did have them replaced last year. Also I did just lower the car and it is around 24 3/4”. Both sides are equal in height. I am running 205/55/16 Michelin ps4 all seasons. I am out of town but when I get back I will pull the strut and see how straight it is. If car was damaged they did a great job hiding it. No sign of a respray.
