CHT Sensor question
My ‘84 randomly shuts off. More and more now.
As I troubleshoot the usual suspects, I decided to check the CHT sensor. So I unplug it to check ohms with my multimeter… I’m not crazy or am I? It should have 2 prongs not 1? ![]() |

There is no broken prong stuck in the female to DME connector. Can the car run decently without the CHT sensor? Or at all?

It runs when connected. If anyone has any input, I would be very grateful.

Porsche originally supplied single wire CHT sensors, using the mount as a ground. Later on due to issues they switched to 2 wire sensors. I upgraded to the 2 wire sensor on my '86 engine.

Thank you for reminding me this! I forgot! Ordered up a 2-wire sensor. Hope it helps my stalling car. Cheers |
