993 Cup wheels on my SC

What is involved in putting 17x9 and 17x7.5 wheels on my SC. Will these fit, what spacers do i need? Also any idea what a set of these weigh? Thank you all

I've been looking into this for the last couple of years. I found Discount tires sells a set that supposedly is the correct offsets. They are sold under the brand "Replica" and according to Discount tire they are made in Italy by Hartman and are approved by both TUV and the equivalent for Italy. I've always heard TUV approval is a very good indication of quality. According the the site, if I am reading it correctly, the 7.5s are 23mm offset and the 9's are 15mm offset. I had C2 wheels on my 87 and they rubbed up front. I never bothered to look at who made them although they had Porsche crests on them.

The replica cup wheels in the 911 offset are very heavy, and Ive heard both good and bad stories about duribility.

Ive also heard both good and bad things about spacers.

Im pretty sure late offset wheels will bolt right up to the front, but youll need about a 1.5 inch (not 100% sure - so dont take the size as fact) spacer in the rear.

The car will then need to be lowered with the new wheels so it doesnt look like an SUV, and then camber must be adjusted to avoid rubbing - the car must also be aligned with the new wheels.

After all that, some people still experience rubbing under track conditions, and some dont. Those that do, roll the fenders.

It may sound like alot - but there realy isnt much to it - one day's work if you know what youre doing, or a few hours at a shop.

Does anyone know what these weigh? they are not replica's, they are actually 993 cups. I already have the fender's rolled and the car is lowered so i just want to make sure I should get them.

Ok, i found the weights, I just need to know if they fit, and what spacers, etc, would be necessary.

I have them on my Cab, with spacers. I don't know the size of the spacers off the top of my head, but can measure them for you when I get home from work, if you still haven't got an answer.

I had a set of 17x7&9 Cup wheels on my 1979 911sc. I used 1" adaptors on the front and 1 3/4" adaptors on the rears. I have a friend that used 1" and 2" for his 17" wheels.

I used 993 wheels with 1 and 2 inch spacers. No rolling of the fenders was needed and the car was euro height.
