86 engine in 79 chassis wiring questions

So I purchased an 86 930 engine for my 79 930. I ditched the jetronic harness (ant the suggestions of others) and only connected the engine harness. At this point I have no buzz from my 6 pin cdi and no ignition. Have tried the CDI in another car and it worked fine. I do not have power to the red and white wire (terminal 15) from the harness. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Scratching my head here and the diagrams aren’t helping me much, could be my inability to read them properly.

Power to the red/white wire (terminal 15) is provided through the delayed action relay (aka delayed ignition cut off relay), and only when ignition key is turned on (Run and/or Start).
Check if this relay is good and have power.
See here for further details.

Thanks. I’ll give that a look this evening. Ordered up some new wiring schematics as well since my old Haynes manual is a bit worse for wear

The Haynes manual is terrible for electrical stuff. The wiring diagrams do not even show color. Good that you ordered new diagrams.
