Never understood the RSR grill being flat when the bumper is arched. Needed to slice some of the back side to allow it to bend. I think I’ll mold the frame right into the bumper.

So i found the original trans to the car and picked that up. Also located the original block. Contemplating picking it up but unsure as of now.

Before i pull it apart i took it over to Inge Dty ice. These guys are the best so if you are near Louisville, KY, hit them up.

popping in to say, I love your work, i am following along and I am doing something similar to my 80 911 SC Targa. Mine is stripped to the shell, in a rotisserie and scheduled to get blasted soon.

Question to the OP.. do you have any pics of a wide fender targa using the iroc front bumper finished you can share? I like the look of the SC with these fenders on coupes, but havent seen many Targas. As of the date of this message, I am planning on just putting all factory body panels back onto mine. I could be persuaded though

Did you figure out your window regulators? If not I have a passenger side one which is non parallel arm. I also have the piece which holds the window for a targa. If you’re interested let me know and will get you the part numbers.

Here was the car that gave me good feelings. The car is a Little gawdy for my taste but you get the idea that it could be done with good results.

Studs came in so i figured i’d dig the hubs out and face these stuck on races. After an hour of wiggling, i finally had success. Going with 66mm Rennline bullet nose studs to have a little extra room to play with fitment.

This is the one I have. It’s off of my targa and works with the parallel arm like you have. I went with the cross arm later style for my build. Your parallel arm should fit your doors. The cross arm style require you to drill the doors to mount them and are off later year cars. This one is for the passengers side.

Doug, sent you a pm.

Last time i hung the calipers but this epoxy paint runs so easily. I’m hoping setting them up like this helps.

Got my trans/engine mounts and carrier. Solid trans mount, tunable engine mounts. Last time the engine carrier was made from scratch. It worked but didn’t look the best. This time I’m going to try and utilize the factory style engine carrier and bolt a 1/4” plate to it and build off of that. Will give a cleaner look for sure.

Was going to start on my engine mount when i came across this. Is this supposed to be this way? It’s weird one hole is off and before i make a bracket I’d like to confirm if it’s that way from Porsche or misdrilled.
