Is it possible to do a top end rebuild only and put in case savers or timeserts for pulled headstuds.
I am guessing that you need to split the case to do the machining work is that correct ? You ask why would you not go all the way ? because it is a low mileage engine 42K. And I plan to do most of the work myself (minus machining and inserting timeserts). |

Not worth it. Kindof like walking 2 miles to go to the hardware store, but not going to the grocery across the street because it's too far.
