Power to ignition module
So trying to start my ‘80 911sc for the 1st time since putting it largely back together and I have no spark?…so I’ve unplugged the connection from the bottom of the ignition module to check if I have power to terminal 15 which it appears not( looking at the connector block with the chamfer edges to the top it’s the middle
Lower terminal of the 6 available?) .Engine cranks but now you can’t stop it from cranking even when you turn the key off!!!! What’s going on? Bad switch or something else 🤔 |

If you turn the ignition switch completely off, and it still cranks away, how do you stop it? disconnect the battery?
However, given the construction of the ignition switch, I doubt that is the problem. More likely that the solenoid is stuck on. This has nothing to do with the CDI box. Apparently, you got a second unrelated failure while trying to find the first. It's rare, but it happens.
