What Transmission oil fill pump?
What pump do you use to fill your transmission?
My old pump broke, so I need a new one. Are the cheap electric pumps any good? Does anyone use the syringe style? |

I'm the same a Ivan. It's all about the beer. Let gravity do the hard work.

Gravity method for me too. It doesn't take long and never breaks down I (unless the earth stops spinning).

I recently bought this one to fill the differentials and transfer case of my 4Runner. It worked great for that. It attached right to the gallon jug and pumped a massive amount quickly/easily.

I use gravity for the 911. Sir Isaac Newton method works.
For very hard to fill cars, I have a pressurized system. Faster and cleaner than small hand pumps.

As mentioned, gravity.
Add time and patience. Warm weather helps. |

yup, if you have sunny days leave the oil to warm up there...in winter(if i have a trans. service) i use my tiled stove from 1841 , to warm up the oil...in the same time i use it for our chickens fireclay bricks to warm them up at night...this way we have eggs even in winter;-)

one more thing to the OP..
Make sure your car is in a level, nor just lift the end. This way you will be able,no matter which techniques you will use, to fill the the trans. with correct amount of oil..... Ivan

Same as Ivan, gravity method through a piece of garden hose repurposed for this job. I always warm the new oil up in a bucket of hot water first, makes quite a difference in time to pour

I like the OEM Tools pump. The adapter threads into the transmission and the hose has a valve on the end to shut off the flow. It's $100 but I've spent way more on dumber stuff.
