88 Carrera seats weight

Trying to lighten up my car.
Wonder if anyone know how much each power seat weight.
Weather it's worth it to get Pole Position seats.

Lightening your car will make a world of difference. It depends how far you are willing to go. If it’s just the seat removal it might not be noticeable. What else are you thinking and what are you willing to sacrifice. I got mine down to 2080 lbs fully wet and constantly want to get it lighter.

AC gone. I got fiberglass bumpers and original bumper shocks gone.
Lightweight battery.
It's down to 2575 lbs now.
Want to be 2400.

RS door panels, remove the rear seat backs, tar on the floor, and yes some seats. how purpose built do you want it? a G50 car in street trim at #2400 is a stretch.

I think American 911's have a side impact bar in the doors. Removing that will save some weight. ROW cars don't have them.

Just for documentation purposes. I weighed a couple seats today and wanted to post them here since it's the first result when you search for seat weights.

These are all high back 85+ seats, none of them sport seats.

944 Manual (leather/vinyl): 40.5 lbs
944 4-Way (leather/vinyl): 50 lbs
911 4-Way (leather): 49.25 lbs
911 6-Way (leather): 50.75 lbs
911 10-Way (leather): 58.25 lbs
928 8-Way +heat (leather): 56 lbs
928 12-Way (leather): 62.25
