Tacho not working - needle does blip on start though
Looking for some help please.
1970 911T Tacho needle blips up and falls down immediately when ignition key turned to the on position before cranking the engine. once started, the tach doesn't work at all. Any suggestion or guidance to troubleshoot would be hugely appreciated. Thanks! |

It's probably cold solder joints. You'll need to open it up and looked for cracked solder. With mine I just reflowed all the solder inside.

There are a couple of diodes that typically fail on the 65-71 tach driver boards.
