Multiple battery connections
I'm finding that I keep adding more direct connections to the positive terminal of my battery. I think I have like 6 or 7 rings stacked up on the side of the clamp ...
What is the "elegant" solution to having all those things connected? Any suggestions? 86 Carrera Coupe |

Why? Things need to be fused or your going to cook your car.

Space is an issue, though, at least with the SC. You'll have to make sure both that there's space on the battery for an aftermarket terminal and also that it won't put a bend in the cable. Yeah also this, I hope you've got plenty of fuses! |

My plan is to install an auxiliary fuse box or power distribution block. This way you have one extra wire coming from the battery for a much cleaner installation. Here are a few I’m considering: This one uses the same fuses as your car: https://www.coolairvw.co.uk/product/111937207-4-pole-fuse-box-torpedo-fuses/ I have something similar to this one in my Lemons race car: https://www.amazon.com/WUPP-Blade-Warning-Indicator-Damp-Proof/dp/B07GBV2MHN/ |

Aux electrical system
![]() I am experiencing the same issue with my 80 911SC . I want to run daytime driving lights - a on-command rear fog light/get off my ass light - a Hobbs hour meter - a voltmeter - some Hella driving lights [I like the rally look] - and a fnt/rear camera I'm running big wire from +battery to 80amp circuit breaker - to fuse box [12 fuse] - relays prob 5ea - to terminal strips I'll have a instrument panel where the cassette tapes used to be . I did not want to bugger-up the OEM wiring with all this stuff The aux system will be in vicinity of the brake master cylinder - using ABS plastic heated - contoured to the inner wheel well.. I'm learning alot wrt relays - #30 -power in / #85 - Ground # 86 switched power #87 - power to load /accessory // planning on using silicone wire as it bends so cleanly Have a nice label maker to label all the wires clear shrink wrap to affix it to the wire.. It's a fun project - this is just my initial prototype -
