Porsche Crest Axle Drive Shaft Assembly - how to adapt a 73 car to an 82 trans

I have a 1973 911 with original suspension.
I have a 1982 915 transmission

I am trying to figure out how to connect the axle drive shafts from the transmission to the stub axles.

1973 stub axles have 10mm bolt holes
1982 tranns has 8mm bolt holes

Does anyone know which drive axles I need to use and how to adapt between 10mm and 8mm on the two ends

thanks

Easiest way is to go with SC outer stub axles.

What years are the SC outer stub axles ? early 80's

assuming the SC outer stub axle will fit on my 1973 hub ?

What about re-tapping the 8mm holes to be 10mm ? Is that an option ?

What John says. Like 77-83 outer stub axles and SC 1/2 shafts with 100mm CV’s with 6 8mm bolts per CV. There isn’t really any conversion at the transmission drive flange that will work.

Thank you everyone. That makes total sense. That chart is really helpful. Now I have to find a set of SC stub axles.

If anyone knows someone selling a set, let me know.

Don't forget that you will need to adapt the early mechanical speedo to the SC trans
