3.2 Intake Runner Gaskets
Hello Everyone!
![]() Question: When you replace your intake runner gaskets do you use any kind of sealant or goop to maintain the seal? I've replace my gaskets a couple times now but they always seem to develop a leak. I've tried retorqueing the nuts periodically. Do you use loctite? Lock washers? Form-A-Gasket? What?Maybe one of you shop owners will chime in. ![]() Thanks in advance.

When I did mine used a light coat of Locktite 574. A very light coat. Used latex gloves to apply. Henry from Supertec recommends it on any of the paper gaskets. Been over three years and no problems. I also sanded the insulators with a fine sand paper on a flat surface to try to make sure the insulators were as flat as possible. Put the sand paper on the flat surface and move the insulator to sand.
