sunroof maintainance..not broken

getting a little "struggling" noise from my sunroof. it is working, opens evenly but still sounds funny. Does it make sense to get into opening it up to change cables, lube or anything else that might need changing? The felt is good as well.

Or "if it ant broke leave it alone".

1985 911, haven't done anything to the sunroof in years.

Cleaning and lubricating all the channels, cables would be a good and harmless start. I might run it by a Porsche shop (not dealer) and see what they say.

Clean and dry. Lube collects dirt.
