Check your CV joint bolts!!!!

Yesterday I was bolting the CV joints back onto the transmission after a year long engine/transmission pit project.I was putting in all new bolts, schnorr washers and moon plates.

I found that four of the six bolts on the drivers side outboard CV joint had backed off and could be easily removed by hand!!!!

Yikes!!!

If you haven’t checked your CV bolts recently, do it now.
