Did the factory ever make Fuchs wider than 9"?

Just found these pictures, there's no way this is a 9" wheel (which I thought was the widest Porsche offered), as a matter of fact it looks like it has 9s on the front.........Only reason I ask is because those wheels look MEAN under the turbo flares, anyway onto the pictures:

later.

The factory made 11x15. If you want wider, there are several people who make 3 piece wheels or will weld some wider rims to 6x16 Fuchs centers for you. One good source is Jim at Trudesign in Denver.

The only thing is you can't get anything wider than a 275 x16 in a DOT tire, which works just fine on a 9" wheel, although it is a little nicer on a 10". I have 12" on the rear of my RSR body race car but I can get a 12" wide slick.

I think Jim can make you a 17" wheel out of your Fuch center in which case you could use a 315 tire. But you better get the offset just right.

The factory made 15x10, 15x11 wheels for RSRs, but I don't think 16s were made that big.

That car looks awesome, but I'm sure they're custom wheels.

Are you sure those aren't 8 and 9's with spacers?

Those wheels have been cut, widened and welded. the ones that I have seen like that were 10 inch wheels. They look great because although they are wider, they retain the original look of a factory Fuch wheel.

Actually, if they were 9" wheels they would have spacers, on that car. The reason that those monsters fit is because the factory had to use spacers to fill the wheel wells on turbos. Remove the spacers and you can fit much wider rims, like these. This is also the reason why stock turbo wheels, (7&9s), will fit a regular carrera, .

These rims are unmistakably wider than 8s or 9s, even w/o the side by side pictures, and look incredible, IMO. Really nice work!
