225MM Cooling fan blade options... 911SC 1978
Hello Gentleman,
I think i hit the jackpot with my 1978 911SC, from weird belt sizes (10x725) to weird Cooling fan blade sizing (225mm instead of 245mm)... which i was not aware or didnt research a lot before getting my car 6 months ago... but anyway... Recently my alternator failed, ordered the Valeo replacement for my car with internal regualtor, all the small stuff just to restored the old stuff... was going to powder coat the housing and the blades... and when i removed the blades... some of them are bend, one blade is missing a chunk... and im suspecting this is unbalanced and damaged my alternator, bearings and so... So i was looking for a replacement, but it seems that 245mm is the popular option and EPS makes an somewhat upgraded unit, but if i want to used this i have to change the alternator again, and the housing... so i will be spending 1200 bucks insted of the 500 of just the fan... So does anyone know what is the correct 225mm replacement for my 1978 911SC? thanks!! |

I have repaired hundreds of fans. I weld up the missing chunks and refinish the blade to look factory. Ps powder paint is the worst thing to do to a fan. Go with cerakote and let me know if you need help with the fan repair
