Chinese 40IDA knock off?

Shows over 600 sets sold.

Wondering if anyone here has tried them. Really curious.

They also have a sub-$1,000 itb setup I am intrigued about…

You’d be taking a chance. One thing to consider is float bowl pitting from cheap castings. It’s not worth the savings in my opinion.

If they're actually sold 600 sets, hopefully someone here will have some feedback.

Start a gofundme page and everyone here who is curious will pitch in and eventually you can buy them and give us a full review.

I am pretty sure their 600 sets sold includes everything, which could very well be zero for the Porsche application.

I am on my 3rd set of used Italian Weber 40 IDT, IDA carbs all purchased for less than $2.5k. (pair). Each set has been easily rebuildable. None of the three pairs have needed throttle shaft repairs. maybe I've been lucky

I’ve heard horror stories— a client had his IDSs rebuilt 3 times at a cost of nearly $7K. They’re good now, but the carb gurus let him down big time.

Many many years ago, I couldn’t get a set of IDAs right, and believe it or not, Motormeister made them work perfectly.

Not immediately in the market for Webers, but arming myself with info just in case.

I’d buy the Spanish Webers over these if I was going to take a chance. I’ve had 4 vintage sets of Webers, all needed extensive work to clear out gunk and refresh.

In 1998, I bit on the Motormeister claim on their engines, a 2.7 conversion for my 914. The conversion was completed and that car spent all of its time on the tracks on the east coast. Ran like a demon. Now, in 2025, still no issues (other than the typical small oil leaks) and the car is back on the street. I guess we both "got lucky" with those guys.
