Jack, you got some pub in this month's BMWCCA rag...
Being a BMWCCA member (I own a 5 and am picking up an 04 3 this week, what can I say... they make good cars too) I get the monthly club rag, Roundel.
I was skimming through it when I thought I saw a pic of Jack's car behind a 2001 M3. I saw the "Elephant Racing" on the front fender and knew for sure. It was a recap of their efforts in the Open Track Challenge. (The author and his M3 placed DFL) Funny how they forgot to mention that Porsche that blew their doors off was 3 decades old! They simply referred to it as "a naturally aspirated Porsche 911." I love it. Anyway, thought y'all might like to know. And Jack, thanks for representing all of us so well. Keep kickin ass. - Texas Turbo ![]()

Cool. Can anyone scan this and post it? I'd love to see it, but I haven't found a way to get a copy.
Two M3 drivers that had completely dominated their classes the previous year were at the bottom of the pile of the Touring 2 this time around. They're both great drivers, but their cars got hit hard by the 2003 tire restrictions for the touring class. The M3 is just too heavy to go fast on street tires. In all other ways, it's a pretty impressive car, though. (Come to think of it, my wife is out test-driving a new 3-series BMW as I type this. What's the world coming to?)

Jack, if you send me an e-mail with a mailing address, I'll send you my copy after I get it (haven't got it in the mail yet, but should be any day) and am done with it.
