Cayenne S tries to take on The Gray Wolf!

Pulled up next to a Cayenne S at a traffic light yesterday. I normally don't race people on the road (especially SUV's!), but had to make an exception here when the driver start revving his engine ....... a 'friendly 1st/2nd gear Stoplight GP ensued. Unfortunately for the Peppervagen, it wasn't much of a race. I didn't take it past 6500RPMs and was several car lengths ahead before it was time to deploy the parachute brake ..... well, at least he now knows what a "real" Porsche with a sport muffler at full song sounds like! -- Curt

Well, the Cayenne seems to be selling like hotcakes here in L.A., I now see them everywhere. What is the protocol when one passes? Do you wave, ignore, give them the finger? I'm confused.

Just a superior glance in their direction , like you know something they don't . Don't take on the Turbo though unless you've got a really fast 911 .

Yeah, like, say a GT-2.

Saw a tight 356 cab today out on some backroads. Gave him a big fat thumbs-up, I was driving the Mustang, but he still returned the gesture. Good stuff. Spirit, baby!

I look forward to running up against a Cayenne Turbo, that would be fun and I would not mind losing to one should that happen...I like em!
I did have some fun on the autobahn with a GT3, but was clearly not a race...just two cars running 250 km on a nice summer day!
