shameless bragging

After installing Marcus' headlight relay, fixing my highbeam switch, repairing the arm latch for the sunroof, removing my turbo tail in order to repair the slumping screen and puting it all back together, searching for a dropped screw amoungst the engine for 45 minutes and FINDING it, I got to say I'm quite proud of myself.
Things I've learned:
1) The relay kit that Marcus sells is top notch and clear to follow.
2) The projects in Wayne's 101 book are clearly explained and easy to follow.
3) With patience and open eyes you can really figure out a lot about how these cars are put together.
4) Germans must have small hands and skinny fingures.
5) If you're going to work on your engine lid, put a towel over your engine to catch screws.

I could go on but I really must return to walking up and down my street telling everyone 'I'm the man' and asking them 'Who's your daddy?'

Cheers,
Dylan

Hey - I asked earlier if anyone's used that spray on their license plate to block photos? Yea or Nea?

I think I might buy a can, I have heard that it works fairly well. Cant hurt, that is unless it costs too much. Congrats on your mechanical successes

Feels good, don't it! I like having a car that can actually be worked on at home.

I know how you feel, I put my car up on jack stands for the first time this weekend. Still waiting for parts so I didn't get to do much. But I did learn one thing, longhair + creeper =

I'd like to know if that plate spray can be detected by the PD as he walks the car?

Thanks for sharing your accomplishments! Great laugh for a Sunday morning. ROFLMAO! I have had the same feeling in the past.

I've known a lot of germans, never seen too many with long skinny fingers.

I just can't stand to have any one touch my car with a wrench. When I do it I know it is done RIGHT.

I know how you feel. I have a fair deal of experience in working on cars, but getting something done still gives me a big sense of accomplishment. Besides, these days it's the only way you can be mostly certain that the job was done completely and right.
