g50 pressure plates

Does anyone know if the 1 year only 89 turbo pressure plate also fits the 87-89 g50. I need something to handle more torque and i understand the 89 turbo pressure plate handles more but not sure if it fits.

thanks in advance

Do yourself a favor and get a pressure plate from Kennedy Engineering Products. They have multiple stages for higher torque applications and automatically save 8lbs of rotating mass. Much better bang for the buck than a lightweight flywheel as they are basically the same price as a stock replacement.

What kind of engine do you have requiring a stronger clutch? I decided to go with their "stock replacement" stage 1 because I can't see my 3.2 ever making more than 375 ftlbs

Is it the 930's PP that handles more power, or the 930's spring (vs rubber) centered clutch disc?

I have a lightweight flywheel + spring centered clutch disc + lightweight pressure plate in my 260hp 3.4. I'll do some permutation of those three things on any 3.2 G50 in the future.

I'm pretty sure that you can use any of the spring centered clutch and pp sets from the 964, 993, 996, 997 these were used on most but not all the of the RS versions(look for non dual mass flywheels as these will have the spring centers. The 997 4.0 Rs versions is the one most seem to be going to these days, The street 997GT2 is dual mass but the 997 GT2 RS will be non dual mass
